How we collect, use and protect your personal data — and the rights you have over it.
Last updated: 26 July 2026
Who we are
Danetre Workshop Supplies Limited ("we", "us") is a company registered in England & Wales, company number 04511113, at Unit 3, Baird Close, Drayton Fields Industrial Estate, Daventry, Northamptonshire NN11 8RY.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any data protection question, contact us at sales@danetreworkshop.co.uk or 01327 877577.
What we collect
When you use the enquiry form on this site, we collect your name, company name, company website, email address, telephone number, the type of enquiry and the content of your message.
When you trade with us, we hold the contact details of the people we deal with at your organisation, along with quotes, orders, delivery addresses, invoices and payment records.
When you apply for a trade account, we collect the information on the application, which may include trade references and business banking details.
When you browse this site and agree to analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location (town or city level, from a truncated IP address), and the type of device and browser. This is statistical: we do not use it to identify you personally, and it is never used for advertising or shared with advertisers.
Analytics only runs if you accept it. No analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google until you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you reject, or simply ignore the banner, nothing is collected. See the Cookies section below for how to change your mind.
We do not use advertising cookies or run third-party advertising trackers on this website. We do not collect special category data, and we do not buy personal data from third parties.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry and quote for work — legitimate interests, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To supply goods, deliver them and take payment — performance of a contract.
- To keep accounting and tax records — legal obligation.
- To assess and administer a credit account — legitimate interests and contract.
- To contact existing customers about related products — legitimate interests. You can opt out at any time and we will stop.
- To measure how this website is used — your consent, given through the cookie banner, and withdrawable at any time.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where we need to in order to run the business:
- Couriers and carriers, so goods can be delivered to you.
- Suppliers, where an item is despatched to you direct from the manufacturer.
- Our accountants, and HMRC where the law requires it.
- Our IT and business system providers, who process data on our instructions under contract.
- Credit reference and insurance providers, where a credit account is applied for.
This website is hosted by Netlify, enquiry form submissions are processed through Netlify Forms, and website analytics are processed by Google (Google Analytics), where you have consented to them. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Where your data is held
Our records are held in the UK and the EEA. Google Analytics data may be processed in the United States. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on the UK Government's adequacy regulations or on International Data Transfer Agreements / Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept for up to two years. Records relating to orders, invoices and accounts are kept for seven years after the end of the relationship, to meet HMRC and Companies Act requirements. Trade account application data is kept for as long as the account is open, and for seven years after it closes.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights — including asking us to delete your data — email sales@danetreworkshop.co.uk or write to us at the address above. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site and its enquiry form working. These cannot be switched off and do not require your consent.
Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics only after you press Accept on our cookie banner. They record how the site is used so we can improve it. They expire after 60 days, and we have IP anonymisation switched on so your full IP address is never stored.
We store your choice in your browser so we don't ask again. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser settings — the banner will reappear on your next visit and you can choose again. You can also opt out of Google Analytics on every website using Google's browser add-on.
We do not use advertising or personalisation cookies. Google's advertising signals are explicitly disabled on this site.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
